Thank you for your interest in CloudJetty. It is a community-maintained resource, so we strive to keep the terms of use simple and appropriate. To that end, we have four basic rules that govern the use of the site.
All user-contributed content on CloudJetty is offered under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Singapore License. It is a condition of using CloudJetty that you accept that your contributions will be subject to this licensing arrangement.
CloudJetty is a community-maintained resource. This means that all registered users have equal rights to create and edit most content on the site (the exceptions being personally-related content such as user profile data, comments, bundles, and ratings)
When you create or edit community-wiki content, expect and appreciate the fact that other users can and should edit it again in future.
When you are editing content, bear in mind that you are doing this in a collaborative setting. Try to ensure that your changes are adding value for all. You will be adding value if, for example, you are providing more detail, correcting factual errors, or editing for clarity.
The administrators and operators of CloudJetty reserve the right to remove or edit any user-contributed content, with no obligation to inform the author or provide a reason. This condition is in place so that we can attempt to keep the system free from spam, inappropriate advertising, and offensive, libelous, or otherwise objectionable material.
Most user-contributed content is editable in a community-wiki style (i.e. all registered users can edit the content, even if they were not the original author). If you encounter offensive/objectionable content on the site, all users are asked and expected to edit the content to address the issue.
Wherever user-contributed content is presented, there will be an "offensive?" link presented to registered users. Please feel free to use this link to report the specific article for attention by the system administrators. You may need to do this if the content is not community-wiki editable (e.g. comments), or if there is a danger of a flame-war/edit-war going on and you need the intervention of an administrator.
CloudJetty is intended to be an objective, trustworthy source of information for the community. This means we value information that is factually correct, free from bias and spin, and a true representation of reality.
When you are creating or editing information about services or service providers, please keep this intent in mind. Of course, comments and ratings are fully intended to be subjective, but must still comply with the Offensive Content Rule.
It is acceptable for service providers to create and edit provider and service information relating to themselves, however when doing so, it must be done in the spirit of the Object Content Rule. No blatant advertising, hyperbole, criticism of competitors, or otherwise misleading information will be tolerated (and will likely be edited out of existence in short order).
